Also known as White Limba or Frake, Korina is a beautiful wood for making guitar necks. Check out our in-depth discussion of Korina/White Limba wood, if you haven’t already.
White Limba is similar to mahogany in grain and tone, according to many luthiers. Guitar builders like Paul Reed Smith use it extensively for both body and neck construction.
Additionally, the most prized vintage Gibson models from the 1950’s were made with Korina.
